David’s first position with Disney allowed him to work with all of Disney’s operating divisions — including numerous interactions with, and business trips to, Walt Disney World. During his time in Burbank, David was also able to complete extensive research about Walt Disney World utilizing Disney’s official archives located on the Burbank studios lot. David requested, and was subsequently transferred to, a new position in Orlando where he continued to work closely with all Walt Disney World operating areas, providing him extensive backstage access.

It was through these endeavors, spanning a total of more than ten years, that David developed a special interest in the history of Walt Disney World and the daily operations required to keep everything running smoothly for millions of guests visiting the property each year. As a result of David’s career at Disney, his extensive research and appreciation for the efforts of cast members working both onstage and backstage, “How in the World…?” provides an unprecedented behind the scenes look at what it takes to create the MAGIC of Walt Disney World.
